It's official - no change to VAT rules on charter
New VAT rules withdrawn in France and Monaco
On March 30, the French Tax Agency formalized the announcement made by FIN, the French Federation of Nautical Industries, on 25 March. The report simply stated that on account of the circumstances resulting from the present health crisis, the new provisions regarding how VAT will be assessed on charter fees have been withdrawn.

As a result, the existing provisions regarding the payment of VAT (that should have expired today) will continue to remain in force until further notice in France and Monaco.

We do not yet know if Italy intends to follow france's lead. We are waiting for information and will keep you posted.
