Helicopter importation and operations

Foreign-registered aircraft are subject to VAT and other duties when imported into the EU. However, foreign-registered aircraft can be eligible for temporary importation which allows relief from paying VAT. In order to be eligible for temporary importation the flight must be flown for “private use” and not “commercial use”.
